Love the analogue between writing and riding horses (although I don’t do the latter). Writing is indeed like both being open to what happens and take control. For me the pain is in the writing itself – if that makes any sense…

Well, I don’t have horses here, so I don’t know all the stables. The ones I do all ride English too.

I really liked your story. I love horses and had ridden many a wild one – on purpose. I like the challenge. Like you bareback was my favorite way to ride. Love that quote too.
