1. That striped tomato looks awesome. Those are the kind of tomatoes that look so beautiful when sliced in caprese. What kind of eggs are those?

3. What is that red and green thing? (Ready for Christmas!) It looks like a fancy tomato but it’s too big. Is it a type of squash? And those eggs? What kind are they?

   • An heirloom tomato and quail eggs. It took lots of breakfasts and open-faced tacos to eat those darn little things… Should have cracked a few over spaghetti like the Italians do.

     • Beautiful! I bet those quail eggs were good. We raised pheasants some years back and their eggs were so delicate and tasty. Pale green shells.
