Thanks Lisa… I’m hating the whole thing at the moment. WordPress changed some functionalities of the photo library. I wasn’t paying attention and erased several photos from several blogs. That was the rabbit hole i spent my day in… manually rebuilding each entry again… and recreating the photo library with smaller size photos since it no longer takes large size. Ugh. From one simple upload to a three step process AND a new learning curve. Not pretty… so I’m so tired of these photos after 8 hours… Phew.
We loved Trier and the Porte Nigra when we were there. Did you know it is the only complete Roman structure in the world? We climbed right to the top and the view was gorgeous.
Carol, thanks for stopping by and reminding me of the Roman History of the Porta Nigra. Now that you mention it, I do recall the history… precisely why I take notes or photographs — I forget unless I do! So glad to know another travel blogger in my midst shares my travel path!
I keep note of where we go every day, and I also send a group email to family every few days, which I keep. That way I have a good record of what we see. Otherwise, on a five week trip, I wouldn’t remember by the end. And we do have plenty of photos too.
Such wonderfully useful advice… I’m woefully inconsistent even though I relish good notes… if my family is with me they can’t stand my back alley antics of lingering to write in a journal or make notes… so I wait till a quiet moment – hoping it’s sooner than later…
Lovely! My favorite is the tree sculpture.

It is hard to find the time, but worth it weeks later when I want to write something.
